Stef and Shirley seek to accommodate every level of rider with a full time lesson and training program.  Stefanie rides and trains in various disciplines including: Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation. Partner Shirley Kopas has taught alongside Stefanie Portman for 20 years. Together they are able to offer a unique and successful program that not only can build a better horse, but a better rider and horseman. Quiet Meadow offers a safe and fun environment for horse and rider.  Lessons horses, leases, and sale horses are available. Shirley teaches lessons at the farm and local shows. Stefanie is available for training, lessons, clinics, and horse shows both local and nationwide.

You do not have to show to ride with Quiet Meadow Farm, but if you do...we take your goals seriously.

We are a barn-family of mostly adult amateur riders and teens. Many of our riders rode as a kid and are getting back into it now as an adult, or enjoying owning a horse in training/showing ridden by our professional rider, Stefanie Portman. Our younger riders have come to us from different farms and greatly improved their riding and abilities with our teaching methods, focus on horsemanship and a proper foundation, and education along the way.

For our rider's that do show, we've had horses and riders with numerous year-end State, National and World Championships.  Many OPHA, Zone, Horse of the Year, and NAL/WIHS championships and top 10's, championships at Devon, AQHA Congress, AQHA 3x World Champion, and making it to Harrisburg/D.C. Indoor Finals year after year.

Training / Lessons at QMF
(All horses must be in a lesson or training program to board here)

Lesson packages start at $160/month. Training packages start at $450/month.

Services:

• Boarding - Limited Stalls Available (all horses must be in a lesson or training program to board here)
  (Basic monthly board starts at $750*/month + $100/month for turnout service)
• Lessons - Half Hour or 1 Hour, Private and Semi-Private (must lease or own a horse for lessons, no school horses)
• Training - Full Training includes lessons on your horse as well
• Showing - Local and rated shows
• Leasing - Horses available for full and half-lease, in our barn. All lessors must take lessons.
